1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GameFinder.Space website and services ("Service"), operated by GameFinder.Space ("we", "us", or "our").

2. Service description

GameFinder is an informational tool that aggregates public game information and prices from third‑party sources. We do not sell games. Links may take you to external stores where separate terms and policies apply.

Our Service also includes social features such as a community feed, Looking for Group (LFG) posts, user profiles, and direct messaging between users. These features allow users to share content, connect with other gamers, and organize gaming sessions.

3. External links and purchases

We provide links to third‑party stores for your convenience only. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for those stores. Prices and availability change without notice. You are solely responsible for verifying store reliability and product details before purchasing. We aim to include only trustworthy stores but cannot guarantee any outcome.

4. No warranty

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or availability. Information may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. We do not guarantee the accuracy or availability of data retrieved from external APIs or sources.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service or third‑party sites.

6. User accounts

You may create an account to access additional features like personalized recommendations and wishlists. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information during registration
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for security reasons.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by scraping at scale, attempting to breach security, or infringing the rights of others. We may limit or terminate access for violations. You also agree not to automate interactions with the Service in a way that overloads our infrastructure or bypasses rate limits, including excessive use of AI-based recommendations.

Additional conduct rules for social features:

• Do not post pornographic, sexually explicit, or adult content
• Do not post hate speech, harassment, threats, or discriminatory content
• Do not impersonate others or create misleading profiles
• Do not spam, advertise commercial products, or post repetitive content
• Do not share others' private information without consent
• Do not post illegal content or encourage illegal activity
• Do not attempt to bypass our content filters or moderation systems

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban without prior notice.

8. Intellectual property

Game data, titles, logos, and images remain the property of their respective owners. Our site design, code, and content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

9. User-generated content and disclaimers

Our Service allows users to post content, including text posts, LFG listings, contact information, and profile information (collectively "User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it as necessary to operate the Service.

Important disclaimers:

• Content moderation: We employ automated filters and manual review to detect and remove inappropriate content, including adult content, hate speech, and other violations. However, we cannot guarantee that all inappropriate content will be prevented or removed immediately.
• No liability for user content: We are not responsible for any User Content posted by our users. Users post content at their own risk. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of any User Content.
• Contact information sharing: Users who share contact information (Discord, Steam, Xbox, PSN, etc.) in LFG posts do so at their own risk. We are not responsible for any communications, interactions, or issues that arise from sharing contact details with other users.
• Third-party interactions: Any interactions between users that occur outside our platform (Discord, Steam, etc.) are entirely the users' responsibility. We have no control over and accept no liability for such interactions.
• Adult content: While we strictly prohibit adult and sexually explicit content and actively work to identify and remove such content as quickly as possible, we cannot guarantee a completely sanitized environment. Users access social features at their own discretion.
• Reporting mechanism: If you encounter inappropriate content, you can report it through our reporting system. We will investigate and take appropriate action, but response times may vary.

By using social features, you acknowledge these risks and agree that your use is at your own discretion and risk.

10. Privacy, cookies, and analytics

We use cookies, analytics, and performance monitoring to track site popularity, run experiments, count visits, and measure website performance. We also collect and store account information when you register. See our Privacy Policy for details, including choices and data subject rights.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GameFinder, its operators, affiliates, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your User Content or any content you post
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
• Your interactions with other users, whether on or off the platform

12. GameFinder Pro — Paid Subscription

GameFinder Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select. Billing is handled by Paddle, our payment processor and Merchant of Record. You agree to their terms of service in addition to ours. Paddle handles all payment processing, tax collection, and invoicing on our behalf.
• Free trial: Where offered, a free trial period will be stated at checkout. Your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless cancelled beforehand.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time through the Manage Subscription page; your Pro access will continue until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds and Billing

  All payments are processed by Paddle, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions and is responsible for payment processing, tax handling, and refunds.

  Refunds are handled in accordance with Paddle's refund policy. If you wish to request a refund, you must contact Paddle directly using the details provided in your purchase confirmation email.

• Price changes: We reserve the right to change the price of GameFinder Pro at any time. If we increase the price of your current plan, we will notify you by email at least 14 days in advance. You may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
• Feature changes: Pro features may be added, modified, or removed over time. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the core value of the subscription.
• Digital service only: GameFinder Pro is a digital subscription service. No physical goods are provided. All features are delivered online and require an internet connection and an active account to access.
• No guarantee of monetary rewards: GameFinder Pro does not guarantee any monetary return, financial reward, or prize of monetary value. Any giveaways or rewards offered through the platform are promotional, non-guaranteed, and subject to the Giveaways & Promotions section of these Terms. The subscription fee is for access to platform features only.
• Termination: We reserve the right to terminate or suspend Pro access for violations of these Terms without a refund.

13. Giveaways & Promotions

GameFinder may run giveaways, contests, or promotional events from time to time. By participating, you agree to the following:

• No purchase necessary: No purchase or paid subscription is required to enter or win any giveaway or contest. Where a giveaway is available only during a Pro early-access window, free users may enter once the window closes. The existence of a paid subscription does not increase your odds of winning.
• Eligibility: Giveaways are open to users who meet any stated eligibility requirements (e.g., age, region). We reserve the right to verify eligibility before awarding any prize.
• Prize availability: Prizes are offered as described at the time of the giveaway. We reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable. We do not guarantee prize availability.
• Winner selection: Winners are selected randomly from all valid entries unless otherwise stated. Winners will be contacted via the email address on their account. Failure to respond within 7 days may result in forfeiture and selection of an alternate winner.
• Prize delivery: Digital prizes (e.g., Steam keys) are delivered electronically. We are not responsible for any issues arising from third-party platforms used to redeem prizes.
• Taxes: Prize recipients are solely responsible for any taxes, duties, or other charges applicable to prizes in their jurisdiction.
• Early access: Pro subscribers may gain earlier access to enter certain giveaways. This is an access benefit only and does not affect odds of winning.
• Modification or cancellation: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any giveaway at any time without notice. In such cases, no prizes will be awarded for cancelled giveaways.
• Not gambling: Our giveaways are free-to-enter promotional activities and are not gambling, lotteries, or games of chance for monetary consideration.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. For material changes affecting paid subscribers (including price changes), we will provide at least 14 days notice by email.
